Questions?

What is an escape game?

Your team of 2–8 gets 60 minutes inside a themed room. Search, solve, and race the clock using the set itself, not a phone app.

Will I be playing with other participants?

No. Your booking is exclusive to the people on it. You will not be mixed with another group.

Will I really be locked in a room?

The game door locks for the story. But there’s always a way out if you need it. Feeling crowded? Tell your games master and leave anytime.

What time should I arrive?

Aim for 10–15 minutes early. That’s briefing time, so the clock starts when you’re ready, not when you’re still parking.

Can we get hints if we are stuck?

Yes. Your game master monitors every session and can offer clues if you need them. Ask in the room when you want a nudge. Hints are there to keep the game fun, not to spoil the puzzles, so first-timers are always welcome.

How do I book?

We require all bookings to be made in advance online to ensure we have spaces available and to avoid any disappointment. Bookings close for games 90 minutes before the start of the game. If you wish to book you must do it at least 90 minutes before the game starts.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Our games are live scheduled events. Like most UK escape rooms, confirmed bookings are non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend.

Standard changes: contact us at least 7 days before your slot and we will try to move your booking, subject to availability. This is a courtesy, not a guarantee.

Flexible booking add-on: at checkout you can add optional flexible booking. If you buy it, you may reschedule once, up to 2 hours before your start time, subject to availability. It covers rescheduling only, not refunds.

See our Terms & Conditions for the full policy.

What if something goes wrong during our game?

Props, puzzles, and equipment are maintained and tested, but occasionally something can fail during a live game. If it does, your game master will do their best to fix it: resetting kit, offering a workaround or hint, or extending your time where possible.

If a fault seriously affects your experience and we cannot reasonably finish the session, we will agree a fair remedy with you, for example another room, a return visit, or a refund of the game fee, depending on how much of the game was affected. See Terms & Conditions.

Can I bring extra players after I have booked?

Yes, but there is a maximum of 8 people per game and you will have to pay the difference for the extra players when you arrive. We can accommodate more than 8 in a room but it will give each player less to do.

Do you provide corporate team building events?

Of course. All our games are suitable for team building events as teamwork is a key part of escaping within the 60 minute time limit. See our large groups & corporate page or corporate guide.

Is your venue wheelchair accessible?

Some of our games are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us for clarification.

Is there an age limit?

Age rules depend on the type of game.

  • Live physical escape rooms (The Mine, The Heist, and our other in-person rooms): players under 12 must have an adult in the room with them.
  • VR and virtual games (The VR Room, School of Magic, Mansion of Death, B Block Breakout, and our VR bundles): suitable for players aged 12 and over.
  • All players under 18 must have an adult on site at all times.
What if I arrive late?

Because our games are live events with fixed start times, we cannot guarantee entry if you arrive late. We are unable to provide refunds in this situation. Aim for 10–15 minutes early for briefing.

Is there parking?

Yes. Free parking is available on site at Treforest Industrial Estate, right outside the venue. We are at Unit 29, Main Avenue, CF37 5UR. Easy to find from the M4, Cardiff, and Pontypridd.

Do I need to wear anything special?

No dress code. Comfortable clothes are all you need. We would suggest closed-toe shoes for The Mine, and nothing too restrictive if you want to move around freely.

What happens if we don't escape?

Your game ends when the timer hits zero and your game master comes in. You get a full rundown of how the puzzles worked, where you got closest, and what you missed. Most teams enjoy the debrief as much as the game itself. You will still have had the full experience.

Can I buy or use a gift voucher?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available on our booking page. Select a voucher, pay securely online, and you receive everything you need straight away. To redeem, enter your code at checkout when booking. See our gift vouchers page for full details.
